Physical Therapist Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and interpret physician prescriptions to develop individualized treatment plans
Establish functional, measurable therapy goals aligned with patient needs and expected outcomes
Implement evidence-based treatment interventions to address impairments and progress patients toward their goals
Provide hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education
Collaborate with and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure quality care delivery
Maintain timely and professional communication with referring physicians and healthcare team members
Document patient progress accurately and efficiently in compliance with regulatory standards
Manage patient discharge planning and home exercise program development
Participate in clinical team meetings and continuing education opportunities

Physical Therapist Qualifications & Requirements

Active Physical Therapy license in South Carolina or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
New graduates and experienced Physical Therapists are encouraged to apply
Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Dependable, self-motivated, and collaborative team player
Dedication to continuing education and professional development
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
