Business Analyst with Tableau experience

  • Compensation: $75-80,000 range

Our client has a need for a Business Analyst who will be the essential link between technology and the financial management team. This position will concentrate on gathering/validating business requirements and take part in the delivery of reporting solutions. You will be involved with documenting financial data flows, reporting processes, and business intelligence infrastructure in conjunction with the finance department.
 
Examples of Key Duties in this Position:

  • Assist in developing the documentation and procedures required to identify current business objectives to meet organizational needs.

  • Create project reports, documentation, and deliverables

  • Document systems through object models, data definitions, and naming conventions

  • Acts as a liaison between finance and business groups during analysis, requirements definition and design activities for financial reporting solutions and/or integration projects.

  • Acts as a liaison between the Tableau users in Finance and the IT team.

  • Participate in business requirements gathering sessions with the client, and assist in creating Activity Diagrams and Functional specifications

  • Profiles the data/information gathered from multiple sources and creates source documents


Qualifications or Who Will Be a Great Fit? 

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in creating Activity Diagrams and Functional specifications

  • Must have experience in Tableau and Tableau Prep.

  • Strong experience gathering and analyzing data from a variety of data sources.

  • Must have experience in financial modeling.

  • Must have experience in process flow documentation.

  • Solid experience in writing SQL queries, and utilizing Excel.

  • Experience with business intelligence

  • Ability to explain information regarding tableau in a simple way to non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
