Our client has a 40 bed medical/surgical unit with a patient population consisting of patients having surgical procedures such as appendicitis/appendectomy, gallbladder disease/Lap, cholecystectomy, small/large bowel obstruction/colon resections, diverticulitis, GERD/Lap, Peripheral Vascular Disease/Bypass surgeries, kidney stones, prostate cancer/prostate surgery, lung cancer/lobectomies, plastic surgery. It also cares for our bariatric weight loss surgery patients as well as medical patients such as pneumonia, bowel obstructions, COPD, cellulitis, etc. This is the general surgery unit at the Hospital so there is abundant opportunity to learn.
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of the Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Bachelors in Nursing
2+ years of current Med/Surg experience in a Hospital setting is required.
