The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for providing coverage in Endoscopy Room in WSC, ED, POB and other in-house endoscopy cases. Assist the Anesthesia provider in the provision of deep sedation and administer moderate sedation. Assist with ERCPs, PEG Tube insertions, Bronchoscopies as assigned.  Assist with supply ordering and re-stocking as needed. To be present for cases in which fluoroscopy is used. Assist with the Argon Plasma Coagulator and the ERBE machine. Apply and set settings for cautery per direction of physician and prevent and observe for injury to patients.  In addition, the RN will also learn and rotate in other job duties as needed such as GI Tech, Scope Tech and Perioperative Aide. This will include performing scope cleaning, scope repair requests/returns and room decontamination.
 

Who Will Be a Great Fit?

  • New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing.

  • BLS, Bachelors in Nursing

  • 2+ years clinical expertise in a med/surg unit, and 1+ year critical care experience which includes Endoscopy, Cardiac, ICU or PACU areas.
