Speech-Language Pathologist – Outpatient Rehabilitation | Full-Time | Corning, NY

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitative services team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat pediatric and adult patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative outpatient environment. This position offers the opportunity to work across the lifespan while making a lasting difference in the lives of children, families, and adults in our community.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments based on physician referrals and orders
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs
Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate seamless patient care
Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home programs, and treatment goals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
Participate actively in departmental quality improvement initiatives, continuing education programs, and in-service training
Contribute to the development and enhancement of innovative speech-language pathology programs and community services
Stay current with best practices, clinical research, and advancements in speech-language pathology
Required Qualifications
Master's degree or doctorate from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Eligible for or holds New York State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and registration
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and professional excellence
Preferred Qualifications
One to two years of hospital-based or outpatient speech-language pathology experience preferred
New graduates and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are strongly encouraged to apply
Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems
