Nurse Manager - Unit Leadership Position | RN Manager Healthcare Opportunity

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all nursing functions and operations within the designated unit across assigned shifts

  • Assess, monitor, and ensure the highest quality of patient care services in collaboration with the healthcare management team

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in nursing practice, clinical applications, medical equipment operation, and unit-specific policies and procedures

  • Manage and supervise nursing staff providing direct patient care, delegating responsibilities based on patient needs and staff competencies

  • Maintain open communication channels with management team members, medical staff, and hospital departments regarding patient care concerns and operational issues

  • Conduct daily rounds on staff and patients in coordination with the Nursing Director to ensure optimal care delivery

  • Provide direct supervision of nursing personnel, including conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in compliance with personnel policies

  • Monitor compliance with core measures for applicable patients and maintain accurate Performance Improvement (PI) data

  • Interpret and communicate departmental mission, objectives, and quality standards to nursing staff

  • Assess patient care complexity and service needs to coordinate appropriate nursing staff assignments

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or charge nurse experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient care quality standards and core measures

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Proficiency in healthcare documentation and performance improvement processes
