Salary Range: $92,000 - $97,000

Job Description:

The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for high-functioning, patient-centered team in a busy small-town hospital. Surgeries and procedures performed in the OR average 47 cases weekly under the services lines of General, Laparoscopic/Colo-rectal, GI Endoscopies, Orthopedic (total joints, shoulder, knee), obstetrics and gynecology/laparoscopic, ENT, Urology, Pain Management, and Cataract Surgeries. Current surgeons, anesthesia, nursing and ancillary staff have a combined total of 450 years of service to this hospital – dedicated staff to their community and to this department.

The director position does include direct-line staffing in times of need.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine or compact license

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS

  • At least 3 years of perioperative experience

  • Advanced Computer Skills

  • CNOR required

  • Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the age appropriate care of patients

  • using the nursing process

  • Demonstrates leadership skills with strengths in communications,

  • organization, management of conflict and problem solving
