This Position Involves the Following:

Our client is a growing security-focused network management company located in central NJ. This is a highly visible opportunity for a QA pro to really make an impact and grow. The SQA Director will bring in new technology as well as manage processes and SQA teams in the US and offshore. These teams perform automated and manual testing of software solutions.

Qualified candidates will possess superior communication and interpersonal skills; be a consummate Quality Assurance professional who can discuss technology and their vision both internally as well as with customers; can select tools, set direction and build a roadmap to go from a manual environment to fully automated  quality department; have the ability to train internal employees, hire new ones and grow the department; have vast knowledge of the latest tools and processes; has worked in an Agile environment.

Duties include: leading and growing SQA teams in designing and implementing best practices and tooling for unit, functional, system integration and regression testing; recommending analytical and technical testing techniques; defining, driving and implementing QA automation strategy and roadmaps; participating in in program and product reviews; suggesting and reviewing corrective actions and other project related activities across the QA organization; presenting QA test plans and results to management and customers

Who Will Be a Great Fit?  

  • 7+ years experience in object-oriented design methodology and testing
  • Solid network understanding-switches, routers, etc. as well as TCP/IP and other protocols, able to develop automation frameworks and tools from scratch; ability to create, document and evaluate test plans as well as isolate and report defects.
  • Quality Assurance professional who can discuss technology and their vision both internally as well as with customers; can select tools, set direction and build a roadmap to go from a manual environment to fully automated  quality department; have the ability to train internal employees, hire new ones and grow the department; have vast knowledge of the latest tools and processes; has worked in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with any of the following will be a plus: Agile environment, Selenium API's, Robot for test automation, REST API's, PostgreSQL or other RDBMS's, testing projects in Python and Java, Web Application interfaces, system integration testing, testing of multi-tier applications hosted in the cloud, continuous integration (Bamboo), cloud services (AWS, Azure), version control (SVN, Github).
