Nursing Manager - Labor & Delivery / Maternal Health | BSN Required | Relocation Assistance Available
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursing Manager to lead our Labor & Delivery unit in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring optimal staffing, workflow efficiency, and high-quality patient care delivery
Monitor, evaluate, and enhance nursing care practices in accordance with evidence-based protocols and regulatory standards
Drive accountability for clinical quality outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and performance benchmarks
Reduce clinical practice variation while improving operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and care delivery excellence
Ensure full compliance with Joint Commission standards, state/federal regulations, and hospital policies and procedures
Oversee equipment maintenance programs and ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements
Optimize patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes to enhance throughput and patient experience
Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and communication across departments to coordinate seamless patient care
Assign nursing staff based on clinical competencies and patient acuity to ensure appropriate skill mix and safe staffing levels
Champion patient experience initiatives and implement strategies to achieve superior patient satisfaction scores
Analyze patient feedback, satisfaction surveys, and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities
Mentor and develop nursing staff through performance coaching, competency assessments, and continuing education programs
Support achievement of Magnet designation, specialty certifications, and other healthcare excellence recognitions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Required
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care healthcare setting
Minimum 2 years of supervisory, charge nurse, or nurse management experience in an acute care hospital environment
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or active Compact/Multi-State license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required
Specialty nursing certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage teams and drive clinical performance
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, patient safety protocols, and quality improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification (RNC-OB)
Previous Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child Health leadership experience
