Medical Director

Lifeline Connections is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director with a specialization in addiction medicine to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This role involves working closely with executive leadership to develop and implement medical services, policies, and programs that integrate physical and behavioral health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex co-morbidities and fostering relationships within a diverse team of healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Review and ensure compliance with Washington Administrative Codes (WACs), Revised Codes (RCWs), CARF Standards, and Federal regulations.
Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the VP of Quality and Corporate Compliance to evaluate and enhance the Quality Assurance and Improvement program.
Team Leadership: Recruit, supervise, and build relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Program Development: Develop and oversee Fellowships in collaboration with local hospitals and community partners.
Training: Prepare and present in-service training to clinical staff on evolving trends in behavioral health medical care.
Program Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of new programs aimed at integrating physical and behavioral health.
Agency Goals: Work with management to set and achieve agency goals.
Policy Support: Support and implement agency policies and procedures.
After-Hours Availability: Provide higher-level oversight after hours as needed.
Patient Care: Initiate additional testing, develop treatment plans, refer patients to other healthcare services, and collaborate on patient diagnosis and treatment.
Consultation: Provide consultation within the agency and coordinate with other providers for specialized training programs.
Community Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with community agencies and clinics to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
Education: Medical Degree required; specialization in addiction medicine preferred.
Licensure: Current WA State DOH medical license with prescriptive authority; additional addiction certifications/training preferred.
Experience: Proven experience working with patients with complex co-morbidities.
