Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Supervisor at Hospice Care Facility

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to oversee all aspects of resident care during the night shift. This role is pivotal in maintaining the safety, security, and comfort of our residents, staff, and volunteers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Supervision: Oversee the evening shift, ensuring all resident care is consistent with our high standards.

  • Safety and Security: Maintain a secure environment for residents, staff, families, and volunteers.

  • Liaison Work: Act as the primary contact for medical Hospice regarding resident care needs.

  • Staff Supervision: Support, supervise, and evaluate caregivers, providing instruction and mentorship.

  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure household duties are completed by staff according to established policies.

  • Compassionate Support: Offer emotional support to residents and families, especially during times of grief.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor documentation and ensure staff adherence to communication protocols.

  • Training and Development: Orient new staff and maintain competencies of existing staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse license.

  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Strong knowledge of care plans and symptom management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Full-time, Direct Hire Position

  • Shifts: 8, 9, or 10 hours (4 or 5 nights per week, no weekends)
