Executive Director - Hospice

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our hospice care operations. This pivotal role involves managing office operations with efficiency, planning and organizing tasks to meet strategic objectives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will be a beacon of guidance for our dedicated team, providing support and coaching to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Management: Direct and coordinate business operations to achieve organizational goals.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures, particularly those related to hospice care and Medicare/Medicaid.

  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous standards by employing qualified staff and overseeing daily operations.

  • Operational Oversight: Provide on-site leadership during business hours or be immediately accessible by telephone when off-site; available for after-hours needs.

  • Team Leadership: Offer support and coaching to the hospice team, fostering a culture of excellence.

  • Recruitment: Interview and select candidates who align with our values and standards of care.

  • Policy Implementation: Oversee the execution of policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Financial Management: Monitor the hospice census, staffing trends, and manage departmental budgets effectively.

  • Communication: Liaise with patients, their families, and physicians to ensure exceptional patient care.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Active RN license in [State].

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of five years in a leadership role within the healthcare sector.
