As the demand for our design services continues to grow, we are on the lookout for a seasoned Front-End ASIC Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in our expanding design department. This is a stellar opportunity for professionals with a keen interest in micro-architecture to contribute to diverse, ongoing, and forthcoming projects in a hybrid (remote/onsite) setup in Milpitas, CA.

What You'll Do:

  • Support Design Execution: Spearhead the support for customer designs through all phases of ASIC execution, ensuring alignment with product performance standards.

  • Microarchitecture & RTL Design: Apply your expertise in microarchitecture and RTL design, synthesis, and timing closure to contribute significantly to project outcomes.

  • Collaboration: Work in synergy with internal teams – including verification, FPGA, Firmware, and physical design units. Expect engagement with global teams.

  • Milestone Management: Ensure timely achievement of project milestones, demonstrating a result-focused approach and dedication to company/team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Experience: 3-8++ years of front-end ASIC design experience is essential along with a robust background in RTL and micro-architecture. Candidates with SoC experience will have a significant advantage.

  • Skills: A comprehensive skill set is required, including:

    • Proficiency in micro-architecture at various levels.

    • Digital design of complex modules/sub-systems.

    • IP/modules/sub-systems integration.

    • Experience with AMBA bus protocols.

    • Proficiency in System Verilog.

    • Expertise in Lint and CDC analysis.

    • Strong capabilities in timing analysis and debugging.

    • A history of customer-facing roles is critical.

  • Desirable Expertise: Experience in CPU/GPU, Image/Video processing, High-speed interfaces (USB, PCIe), Low-power design, and verification will be advantageous.
