Our client, a rapidly growing leader in the packaging and manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving capital projects, optimizing processes, and ensuring timely delivery of new equipment installations and continuous improvements. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a company renowned for its commitment to quality and engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Capital Projects: Oversee projects from initiation to delivery using established engineering project management processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to industry regulations, best practices, and company engineering standards.
Project Phases: Ensure successful completion of all project phases including scope, budget, execution, and delivery.
Resource Management: Coordinate internal and external resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders.
Technical Support: Provide technical solutions, design support, and troubleshooting assistance.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement continuous improvement projects with justifications and ROI analysis.
Knowledge Transfer: Develop expertise in new systems to train and coach plant engineers and maintenance staff.
Process Optimization: Propose and implement work processes, procedures, and technical resources in line with the Engineering Policy.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 5 - 15 years of project engineering or management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, preferably in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Project Management Skills: Strong experience in capital project management, including DQ, FAT, CQV, ramp-up analysis, and other protocols.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and Microsoft Project; ability to use CAD for system designs and machine layouts; ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, construction drawings, and other technical documents.
Industry Experience: Preferred experience in beverage, aseptic, and/or food manufacturing environments.
Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial analysis, business KPIs, and CAPEX budgeting and preparation.
