Engineering Manager - Continuous Improvement & LEAN Expert

Pay Rate: $100,000 - $135,000

  • Other Compensation: 10% bonus

  • Relocation Paid

 

Company Overview:

Join a Fortune 500 global manufacturer with over 100 years of history and a multi-billion dollar revenue stream. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in a state-of-the-art 600K sq foot facility. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives across three shifts and approximately 450 employees.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineering Team: Manage a cross-functional team of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

  • Technology Upgrades: Assist in the implementation and upgrades of existing equipment.

  • Tooling & Gauging: Design and develop tooling and gauging required for manufacturing products.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide clear instructions to cross-functional teams in electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing fields.

  • Capital Equipment: Assist in capital equipment upgrades and modifications.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive manufacturing/operations experience; 5+ years in engineering management or leadership roles.

  • Technical Skills: Solid modeling experience (3D AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

  • Continuous Improvement: Passionate about continuous improvement, LEAN initiatives, Six Sigma principles, measuring results, and problem-solving.

  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills.

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project Planning, and Office.

  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed.
