Client is looking for quality-minded Software Developers to help build out platform. Typical projects include creating rich interactive applications, scaling up large transactional systems, building a state of the art web-based reporting and data analysis system, and developing web 2.0 collaboration tools. If you want to work with cutting edge technologies and consider yourself a star programmer, we know a place for you.
Requirements of Software Developer:
2 to 5 years of experience with OO programming in Java.
Fluency in at least another OO or scripting language such as Ruby, Python, C++ or C#.
Familiarity with UNIX tools.
Strong fundamentals (OO, Algorithms, Data structures).
Taste for simplicity and elegance in technical design.
Appreciation for test-driven development, and building software the right way.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Bonus points for:
Experience with Oracle. SQL and PL/SQL wizardry.
Experience with server-side java technologies and major application servers.
Experience developing with / extending Drupal.
Advanced front-end and Ajax skills.
Java is big at this client but they are a software firm that likes people who are flexible with regards to the tech they use to get a job done - open source dev experience (python or ruby) a big plus accompanied with some OO language development experience. Hiring managers here have noticed that candidates that are heavy in MS development only do not fare well here long term.
