Network Security Architect

Duties and Accountabilities
- Assist with development and enforcement of security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Design firewall solutions to provide advance protection from outside sources as well as internal isolation when needed.
- Monitor day-to-day firewall performance and statistics, look for traffic enhancements, and attend to requests relating to bi-directional access.
- Provide sound and educated change recommendations, as they pertain to growth, adds, changes, and deletes, while maintaining service to customers.
- Monitor and notification processes for outage warning and mitigation.
- Design, implement and support authentication management of network devices while working closely with the network support teams.
Experience Required
- Five years experience with Cisco network devices.
- Five years experience with Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Five years experience with Firewalls.
- Two years experience in load balanced environments.
- CCNA Cisco certification preferred.
- Experience with TCP/IP and other networking protocols * UDP, ICMP, IPSec, GRE, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, and FTP and, HSRP/VRRP/BGP/RSTP configurations.
- Firewall access-list configurations and application.
- Firewall failover configurations.
- Remote Access VPN configurations.
- Policy Route configuration.
- DMZ configuration and segregation methodologies.
