JDE or Oracle preferred and SAP a plus.
30% international travel.
Must understand business processes. Demand planning, finance, sales forecasting, vendor management. 5 reports.
Job Description
· Recommending, developing, implementing and monitoring application systems, tools, standards and procedures.
· Work closely with all IT and business functions to define technical standards for all core application systems that will be used to make strategic decisions with customers.
· Responsible for understanding the business use of ERP applications and providing the best, most cost-effective solutions.
· Establish the stewardship for ERP applications governance and architecture process and control procedures for his/her respective functional areas of responsibility.
· Work with the IT teams to consolidate redundant application technologies including cost benefit analysis and establish controlling procedures for introduction of new application technologies across the organization.
· Evaluate potential impacts on business unit operations when new application systems and technologies are introduced.
· Participates with vendors in the assessment of application technologies, tools, methodologies, sourcing, etc.
· Investigate industry trends and new technologies, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management.
· Provide consulting to project teams, and perform assessments of infrastructure and application assets, identifying potential and actual system risks and recommending corrective measures.
· Perform all activities in compliance with the internal and external requirements/standards. Controls.
· Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
· Communicates with internal and external resources to ensure project success.
· Ensures that goals are met and any issues resolved.
· Interfaces with IT and non-IT management to ensure that goals are met.
· Manages against project plans.
· Manages the implementation of new system applications and the support of existing system applications for the entire company, encompassing corporate as well as manufacturing applications.
· Oversees, participates and approves the interviewing, hiring, and training of departmental employees; conducts performance evaluations for direct reports; and assists direct report managers with performance evaluation process for their units.
· Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of:
· Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements (SOX).
· Business and personal computer hardware and software applications.
· Financial management expertise.
· Experience with one of the following ERP: JD Edwards Enterprise One; Oracle Enterprise Business Suite; SAP.
. Expertise/experience with multiple hardware/software operating platforms:
. Unix; AIX; Linux; OS/400; Microsoft Server; etc.
. IBM ; HP ; Sun ; etc.
. Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing global business solutions for Demand Planning; Sales Forecasting; Manufacturing Operations; Supply Chain Planning; Financial Management; etc…
· Must have a solid understanding of system applications needed to support the manufacturing, distribution, and financial information needs of a pharmaceutical company.
· Pharmaceutical/distribution/manufacturing environment and policies and procedures.
· Current Company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations.

· Works well under pressure and can resolve complex problems.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited college or university, and ten (10) or more years directly related and progressively responsible experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
