Job Description

These B/I consultants tackle the most demanding assignments, from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams.

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer business requirements
  • Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for our customers
  • Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
  • Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for our software platform
  • Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
  • Mentor other consultants
  • Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required
  • At least 5-7 years Consulting or IT Consulting Experience
  • Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
  • Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
  • Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with implementation methodologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
